I saw the post on mobile app development and am curious what strategies companies use in regards to multiple platforms.

Do you develop for the IPone and then port to Andriod etc?

our strategy at this time is to develop mobile compliant web sites so that content is optimized for multiple platforms.

We also do iPhone app development and based on user feedback then plan to port to Andriod and Blackberry.
